It could very well be that if Ukraine does not sign it might face worse. Its a risk that they are willing to take.
All the US needs to do is let Ukraine decide and support their ultimate decision and not blackmail them.

Putin will not agree to the 28 point plan anyway. He wants to be seen as powerful and rebuild the empire. Being pity-handed some relief by powerful Trump and having American economic colony at their doorstep isn’t what he sees a success.
While Trump wants to end the war at any cost and doesn’t care who gets what because he wants to get Nobel Peace Prize.
A so called peace plan, written by Russia (which they WILL renege on) and enforced by America.

We all know how this will play out. Zelenskyy visits the White House, afterwards there will be threats containing something about two weeks, then Putin says Russia wants all of Ukraine, Zelenskyy and NATO say “told you so” and rinse and repeat until Trump dies of dementia.
Worse? Is Trump going to visit Ukraine personally?
Will the US invade Ukraine to divide it on two parts with russians?
When they’re saying things like that, then it’s quite clearly not a “deal” it’s an “ultimatum” and the media should be describing it as such.
The EU & Europe is so fucked if it cant deal with such an important issue in its backyard.
It is beyond parody that former imperial powers, current industrial and economic powers with significant military power (how significant is certainly up for debate) are less use than a limp dick in a brothel.

Trump’s so-called “peace plan” is nothing but a surrender package dressed up as diplomacy — a gift-wrapped win for Putin at Ukraine’s expense. Calling capitulation “peace” is propaganda, not strategy. Any plan that rewards aggression doesn’t stop the war; it guarantees the next one.
So it’s not a deal, it’s an ultimatum translated from Russian.

If European powers have a shred of dignity left, they should prop up Ukraine to a degree where Russian gains are reversed.
Otherwise this is just another Munich 1938 (in my opinion worse) and Europe will be complicit in it. If France-Germany-Britain trio are powerless to project force in continental Europe, they should officially recognize the US as the overlord of Europe and spare us from all the unneeded debatee.
I wonder if trump has already provided weapons and financial aid to Russia yet?
If not does anybody have any thoughts on when that will happen?
