It’s astonishing that americans let the orange man run their country not once, but twice

    2. Question comes to a mind, why should USA as a minuscule contributor of aid have any sort of a word in what is going to happen in UA.

    3. The real issue is Ukraine is now fighting with half the support it used to have

    4. InvertReverse on

What an ally the US is… Hopefully we won’t forget this, if they elect a democrat next. There needs to change something fundamentally in the US if they should be trusted more than 4 years at a time.

Does this include the UK? I’d assume so since its Europe not EU, but good to see I just wish we woke up 10 years ago about the US, and it didn’t take a war to realise.

The never-ending whinge about “weak Europe” and how it made itself irrelevant can’t change the fact that who pays the piper calls the tune – there will never be a peace agreement without Europe’s blessing for the simple fact that Europe will continue to – and hopefully even ramp up – support Ukraine.

Plus, it’s exactly the areas like reconnaissance and intelligence where Europe was most reliant on the US where real progress has been made in recent months. Europe is a lot less reliant on the US security wise than it was even just a year ago. This development will only accelerate in the coming years.

Trump can rant about ‘ungrateful’ Ukraine all he wants, by basically cutting off all aid, he can not and will not have the final say on any peace deal. THAT is the reality, everything else is propaganda.

We pay for Ukraine to pay for US weapons.

What do we need to grow a spine ? A war in Europe ? … …

    9. Row-Bear on

Or: Ukraine is only getting half the aid they got last year.

    10. What do you mean who has the cards? They are getting half the aid, judging from this graph Europe seems to be covering 4 billion of the US’ 45 billion in 2024

Use the frozen asset, sell everything every yatch and villas.

Fuck them, change the law if needed to end that cancer of a failed empire.

Insane amounts of money were spent for the Ukraine aid…
I really don’t know where this this money is coming from, especially in Europe, and its just for AID.

    13. MissMormie on

What a weird title, as the graph shows Europe paying more than 50% over the years anyway. And contribution didn’t change much.

Better title. US removes aid to Ukraine.

    14. What do they mean “starts” footing the bill? Europe has been throwing money and equipment into the ring from the start, often a greater portion of GDP than the US has at any point.

    15. Affectionate-Arm-688 on

Russia lol, Europe lacks the cohesion and political will to stand alone, especially with subversive elements who will vote against any anti russian action.

    16. bonnydoe on

And still Europe is paying Russia more for gas than that it contributes to Ukraine.

    17. I sincerely hope this means the mineral deal is NULL and VOID as a consequence.

    18. Adorable-Database187 on

Dont forget about taking care of a huge amount of refugees.

    19. Raphael1987 on

I want us to stop giving aid to rest of the world and divert those funds to Ukraine

    20. BonyDarkness on

What kind of BS is this?

European contribution in 2025 is nearly at the same level as before. If we were “footing the bill” we’d need to add the amount the US paid to the amount Europe paid.

We – Europe/Eu – are doing basically the same as last year or the year before. the title of the graphic is misleading at best.

    21. Ice_Tower6811 on

So Ukraine lost 46B but got +7B from the EU? I am glad we haven’t followed the US but it’s not exactly good news.

    22. ahernandez50 on

Not a bad thing, considering that Ukraine is keeping the beasts at bay.

    23. Justgototheeffinmoon on

It does not start. It’s just the US caving in to Putin

    24. And the American plan is for Ukraine to capitulate, for Europe to pay for everything, and for all the money, minerals, technology and everything else to go to the United States.

Damn it, I wish the dollar would lose its place and they would go down.
