I’m sure dying the canal is really great for the environment. Well done greta

Polluting a canal in the name of environmentalism is some crazy shit.

      >*The group claim the dye used is environmentally harmless, with the action meant to signify “the massive effects of climate collapse”.*

I am sure that the fishes were happy to know that it was “harmless”.

    4. It’s weird how obsessed the world is with Greta. As if she’s the only environmentalist out there doing stuff like this… move along.

Banning her is like giving her a gold medal tbh. Having said that, I guess the city needed to do “something” even if they 100% agree with her?

If at least 10% of us had half the courage she has the world would be a way better place IMHO.

If this was a YouTuber you’d all be calling for her head.

    7. This woman will attach her name to anything trending. She is 100% an Attention seeker. Yawn…

    8. Meanwhile they lock down Venice for Bezos for which 90 private planes arrived. But yeah, the guys who want to protect our planet are the bad guys.

Despite her follies, Greta is increasingly becoming a symbol of the struggle for a balance between human activity and elimination of consequences.
The actions attract attention and people start asking uncomfortable questions to officials.
Only by getting out of your comfort zone can you force yourself to move forward.

Environmentalists doing something stupid to draw negative attention again. They are worse than little kids seeking attention from papa.

Sooo, we demonstrate against pollution and dye a canal in one sentence? And don’t start with „bio degradable color“.

    12. Glory_63 on

Mind you, this is the same city that had to spend hundreds of million of dollars building a wall to protect itself from being flooded due to the rising sea water brought by climate change.

But a dyed canal is obviously much worse /s

What’s the big deal?! Chicago does this once every year. I think it’s an improvement.

Cool, what a heroes. Maybe we should focuse on these things when we manage to be more productive than China, or the USA.

Aren’t they already greenish? Venice is so polluted that everybody goes to Treviso to bathe

Sorry, this is just vandalism now. I think she has been pushing a bit much. I agree with her strong feelings on many of these issues, but come on, chill out a bit.

Start using verbal and other intelligence instead of teenage angst.

I guess she ran out of free sandwiches from the IDF

    18. I mean, it’s only a 48 hour ban. But I’m a little sceptical about how colouring the water green doesn’t have any ecological effect on plant life or fish.

Yes I’m aware that we’re harming the world far worse with fossil fuels. I’m just curious about the claim put out that putting some kind of colouring material into the river has no impact on the environment. Though I will stand gladly corrected.

It’s amazing no one mentions greta’s family and the money she comes from!!
