Protect a Volunteer matches donors directly up with volunteers in order to help them pay for operational costs and cover gear and supplies. Smoggy is one of the ones matched with donors; as he points out, his donors helped him get netting to protect against drones, which is essential.

Over the holidays a lot of people want to show individual appreciation to the soldiers who hold the line and are away from friends and family. A great way to do that is to match up with them and assist them. We group donors together and it’s a minimum of $25/month to be matched. That may not seem like a lot but it all adds up and even small amounts of support can make a big different to help them afford something they need or have a bit of comfort.
