Seriously though,it’s really sad to think what could be happening to those kids, more needs to be done to protect them.

And fundamentally this is the root of how things like the Grooming Gangs happened. Its not so much some sort of foreign invasion of bloodthirsty pedophiles, its that we for decades have had a population of kids running into the tens of thousands who are *supposed* to be being cared for by the state yet *we all know* the system that is supposed to provide that care is *totally totally fucked* and has been for as long as anyone alive can remember. You have young boys and young girls homeless roaming the street with no guardian, no peer network, no parental example to follow, often a bunch of mental health issues from the awful shit they’ve already been through, and then hey look this nice man offers me a free ride in his taxi and even a little bump of a powder that makes me feel great.
