Good. Current rent levels can’t even cover maintenance, nevermind repay mortgages or costs

Don’t do this. This will only hurt poorer people. I’m a registered member of PBP and definitely against this class based targeting of working class communities

So have I got this straight?

A Green Party councillor in Dublin City Council was going nuts at their recent council meeting, calling people who voted AGAINST rent rises snake oil salesman and selling lies and misrepresenting their voters. The Green Party voted for rent increases in Dublin City Council.

And now in Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, Green Party councillors tried to get rent increases removed all together and said the council shouldn’t be targeting vulnerable people?

I dunno maybe instead of going after poor council house tenants on the breadline, you could perhaps tax the rich? The wealth building around property ownership in this country is disgusting.

Sure there are tenants massively in arrears and still not evicted for others – what difference will it make

I’m sorry but why is tax so high in this country if it’s not covering things like social housing in the first place
