Oh no, terrorist supporter wouldn’t be able to profit of their support for terrorism if the UK designated a terrorist organisation a terrorist organisation.
>A person commits an offence if—
>(a)he enters into or becomes concerned in an arrangement as a result of which money or other property is made available or is to be made available to another, and
>(b)he knows or has reasonable cause to suspect that it will or may be used for the purposes of terrorism.
Unfortunately it’s her own doing… She made that public pledge. She should withdraw from it.
And I say that as someone who don’t think PA should have been proscribed as a terrorist organisation.
Frankly foolish. I’m sure there are numerous organisations providing vital aid to people on the ground in Palestine that she could have donated to, while not risking her reputation or livelihood.
Free Palestine, fair play to Sally Rooney for standing by her beliefs. The UK really has become no place for free speech, it’s scary to see the thought police actually in action.
