I wonder why it is up to us for this, surely we aren’t the only ones with Russian frozen-assets. Why are we being pushed around for this?
I’m in general not a big fan of BDW, but think he’s right in this case. It’s absurd that Belgium should carry the full risk of releasing the assets, while it is clearly a European decision and therefore should be a shared responsibility.
