So, basically, mostly along the route. Pretty fair tbh for planning submissions (note, this is not the last minute judicial review).

The only thing anyone should be objecting to is how we’re planning only half a line when Dublin is decades overdue four or five full ones.

If it goes to Ashtown, why not extend it to blanch shoppingcenter?

This is a cool visual, but depressing at the same time. How could somebody honestly consider lodging an appeal whilst living so far away from the actual route? Some sad individuals out there.

Why are they not building it in west Dublin that is not serviced by Dart or Luas? Surely it would make more sense going from Knocklyon, Ratfarnham, Templeogue up to Crumping, Kimmage, Drimnagh, Dolphins Barn and up into the city and out to the airport.

Thant would give 3 vertical parallel rail lines servicing the city and suburbs with the red line as a horizontal intersection connecting them.

45 in Ranelagh – protesting the terminus

35 near Tara Street – this is the College Gate apartments being demolished by CPO and the Markevichz swimming pool

12 near Phibsboro – This is the pharmacy near the Mater that will be turned into a cul de sac for 4 years during construction

15+16 near Glasnevin – These are about Hedigans being demolished for new Glasnevin station

They’ve shelved Dart+ West (which finally got planning permission this year!) until 2030, ie never. Straightforward electrification of a line where a tonne of new housing has been built between Clondalkin and Lucan and more is planned around Kylemore industrial estate. If you think traffic, the luas and buses are bad now, wait until all that is done without a proper urban rail connection. Thoroughly shambolic and depressing.

Not a snowballs chance of Metro being built, with or without the Dartmouth Square objectors.
