    That’s some massive profit for a seller…

Doubt that cottage is even worth 300k

It is understood Ms Collins will have to pay various fees such as โ‚ฌ25,000 in marketing costs and โ‚ฌ2,600 in affiliate fees. Raffall, the lottery agent she chose also takes 10%.

Ms Collins will also pay 33% in capital gains tax along with agreeing to pay the winner’s stamp duty and legal fees as part of the prize.

Remind me not to enter any of these draws. The admin is mad!

Would’ve thought the raffle would be for Irish residents only no?

Whenever there’s some sort of competition I see it’s either USA/CA only or UK only.

  4. Reminds me of the raffle Raymond Coyle did in the early 80’s

  5. 1,200,000 in ticket sales

    -120,000 to the raffle seller

    1,080,000 gross

-294,000 CGT (from say initial value 200k)

    -28,000 fees

    -3,000 Stamp duty (on 300k ?)

    -5,000 conveyancing x2

750,000 cash for a 300k cottage, not bad.

Fuck sake like, that’s a house that could have been given to a refugee and their entire extended bloodline! What a disgrace!
