In theory real Waldmeister can cause headdaches (coumarin), when you consume to much. But those products are not based an real Waldmeister. The sugar is the bigger problem.

My Family doesnt really like the taste. I remember the “Wackelpudding” with custard on top when i was a Kid. But it was a seldom treat (during the 1980s)

If the product says “Waldmeister-Geschmack” or “Typ Waldmeister” there isn’t real Waldmeister in it, just a Waldmeister flavor.

If you want a more “adult” approach to Waldmeister, try a “Flimmo”. It’s a “cocktail” consisting of “Flimms Waldmeister” liqueur, limes and Sprite. I have only ever seen it in one Establishment near me, so I can’t provide a recipe. It’s a bit “try and error”.

Not something you can buy, but just mix any waldmeister drink with cola at about 50:50.
Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it. Almost everyone who has tried it has been convinced by its superiority so far.
