Its shit like this that undermines Ireland’s position on Palestine and makes us stink of being antisemitic rather than being just sympathetic to the plight of innocent humans being killed, thank goodness that it was withdrawn, there is no similar solidarity with the people of Ukraine, and there certainly is no solidarity with the poor people of Sudan who are also subject to genocide, yet radio silence from Parnell square.

      One major account on Twitter/X i saw pushing the name change hard has his account location based in fecking Indonesia. People complain about Americans etc commenting among the right wing of Irish politics…but the left wing of it has its own share of it.

      Good. Fully condemn what Israel is doing to the Palestinian people but this had nothing to do with that, is a wast of time, a distraction from doing sometimes meaningful, and fuel for spurious accusations of antisemitism from the usual suspects.
