Ad esempio, dici bene quello vicino ____, come se ci fossero un paio di posti qui nel Regno Unito vicini tra loro con un nome simile o lo stesso ma di solito ha una pronuncia diversa, uno porta Norwich, l’altro è francese o, uno è francese e l’altro è tedesco o uno è italiano o latino ecc.

    None of them are large enough to be talked about further away than their local area so you’ll just know.

    Maybe those four Å in northern Norway could be confusing, but the rest is fine.

    These places are small villages at best. You’d usually not mention them outside of a fairly local context and then it’s already implied which one. Not from one of those places but if I was I’d be talking about region or closest bigger town.

  3. Most people dont travel outside their vicinity that much. You live and die around your living area and then vacations to popular destinations around the globe. But traveling to small towns up north or south in the country you live in, not so much. Well, we have some high popular places that allmost all countries has that many of the population visits sometimes in their life time. But yeah, people dont get around that much usually. You travel for family activites or for relatives and then you live and die around your settlment.

  5. Wait until OP learns about Paris, London etc. in USA. Think of any big european city and it’s probably there
