Imo è orribile quello che sta succedendo attualmente in Germania per quanto riguarda l’aiuto alla nascita. Potrebbe non sembrare così importante ma guarda il video fino alla fine.
I primi minuti potrebbero sembrare interessanti. Continua a guardare. È importante per tutti noi, soprattutto se hai intenzione di avere figli.

Well, it’s bad that they don’t get paid unless they are present at the delivery. That said, I don’t think this whole midwife model makes much sense. I would suggest something similar to what happens in other countries: you are followed by a doctor throughout your pregnancy, and on the day of the delivery, the midwives on duty take care of you. If their shift ends, another midwife takes over, and they are, of course, paid for their full working hours.
Before the delivery, you might want to take breathing classes with them—that’s fine—but I don’t see the need for any further interaction.
And honestly, as I was watching the video and heard the woman saying “breathe now,” “push,” “don’t push,” and so on, I realized that if I were the one giving birth, she would get on my nerves. I would much rather have a doctor I trust there than midwives.
