Interesting precedent. Makes no sense why this would happen, but I’m happy for them.
Maybe Russia is trying to feign some leniency?
I suppose, it stops him being a martyr, and, given that he was alone, this solidifies the notion that he’s got no credibility.
Russia fails to learn from history. They’re basically the nazi Germany of this century.
So they didn’t send the guy to some Siberian camp for protesting? What a country! Oh wait…
