      It bothers me that this sort of stuff wasn’t overwith decades ago.
      (This isn’t a dig at Germany, we collectively suck at this. Our local museums are still holding onto Indigenous artifacts without their consent too)

      i notice that each time a similar topic comes up regarding poland and germany, there’s a lot of divisive rhetoric in the comments. it makes me wonder how much of it is sincere, and how much is intended to cause strife by bad actors with malicious intent. i think symbolic gestures like this one go a long way. i think you can build a whole road on them

      Could have taken so long as it may have been forgotten as being looted, but then again Britain and France have a lot of returning to do.

      There are still tens of thousands items Poland is still looking for. Nothing Germans should be proud of. As we say: go to Germany, paintings of your grandfather are already there.
