OFWAT doing what it needs to do, just not for Consumers.

I’ve just arrived here from a “why is nobody supporting Labour? give them time” post. This sums it up perfectly, it’s one of those “If I was in charge I’d put a stop to…” things that 99% of people can agree on but the empty shell of “Labour” chose to ignore.

The question isn’t why anyone would not support one party that openly rewards such massive and blatant corruption, but why they did support another party (Cons) that did for so long.

Were they not supposed to be using all that extra money to fix issues..

    4. This bit way down in the article should be a real hammer to everyone:

“Thames Water also revealed it had paid £57m during the six-month period in fees for advisers on the process such as bankers, lawyers and public relations consultants.”

That’s such a huge amount of money in 6 months – that’s £10m a month and more than 10% of it’s net profit just evaporated. That’s a company in the death throws and frankly it would be kinder for UK government to just put it out of its misery

They presumably run on *razor thin* margins and we should be thankful for that

They are laughing at us – anyone that defends this hasn’t got a clue.

That high water bill leaving you less money for anything else? Going to profits and dividends.

What is it not going to? Fixing infrastructure, building reservoirs, stopping shit going into our water.
