Are you close enough to know if she wants to nurse…?

In my experience with DM vouchers you can’t go wrong for soon to be parents.

If you want to buy supplements, maybe take a look at https://into-life.de/shop/ under “Wochenbett” and “Stillzeit”.
These were recommended by my IVF clinic.

Other classics for breastfeeding moms are Stilltee (you can get that at DM etc.), Stilleinlagen, Stillhütchen, and, I kid you not, Malzbier, though I’m not sure if there’s any scientific evidence behind it.

That said, not all mothers are able to breastfeed, some don’t want to either, so I usually gift a DM voucher (as they sell pretty much everything new parents need including clothes, dummies, bottles, diapers, care products, …) and maybe some relaxing herbal tea or chocolate.

Non. Firstly you don’t know if she wants to breastfed. And secondly you don’t need any supplements if you don’t have a diagnosed lack of any nutrients.
As a mother myself I would find a really weird if anyone would give me supplements as a present.

I’ve got to be honest, this strikes me as an _extremely weird_ gift, especially if you are not a mother who has herself used these specific supplements.

Not all mothers choose to nurse their babies. For those who do nurse, not all will experience under-supply. Those who want to increase their supply would probably talk to their midwife or pediatrician as a first step. And most pregnant and nursing parents are pretty cautious about taking supplements, particularly those not recommended or prescribed to them by their medical provider to address their specific medical circumstances.

I would be very, very uncomfortable if a coworker gave me pills intended to impact my lactation. While I _hope_ that your intentions are pure, this sort of gift could easily be interpreted as some sort of fetish situation.

Just… don’t. Don’t give your coworkers supplements, pregnant or not. Chip in to an office-wide gift, or give them a gift card for food delivery or similar.

I think a Voucher from DM, Müller or Rossmann, or a Book, or an Amazon Voucher, with Chocolate like Ferrero Rocher oder die Besten or Rafealo, if she doesn’t like chocolate, it is the better gift.
