There is very few people that would oppose this, and they will never change their opinion due to being afraid of change.

I’d have nothing against fox hunting if they just changed the rules a little. From now on, everyone who does the sport has to have a turn as the fox.

Love the way its banned in the UK.

So the British come over to Ireland and kill our natural wildlife instead, ya know for the laugh.

Yeah it should be banned, unnecessary cruel and this notion that it’s a countryside persuit in nonsense. It’s a holdover from being colonised. I’ve never had a good experience when dealing with the hunting crowd either, it’s like when they get up on a horse they lose any normal decency. We, along with four neighbouring farms got the hunt banned from our land because we had sheep drop lambs after being stressed by the hunt , six in one incident alone. Fences were knocked and only a half hearted pathetic attempt was made to fix them. No compensation was forthcoming.

You will not find a farmer in Ireland against banning this toff shite.

They destroy ditches or just leave gates open, they’ll run tracks which destroy your land. They don’t ask permission to do this in our experience and will leave the damages once they’ve fucked off as that’s now a you problem.

That’s before even examining how cruel they are to the animal itself, if the foxes heart doesn’t give out in the extended chase they’ll run it until it collapses, it’s then savaged and ripped apart limb by limb by their dogs, it’s fucking medieval.

Get this West Brit shite consigned to the history books.

Hardly news is it? Just need someone willing to do something about it.

We’ve known this for awhile now, this isn’t the first poll to show not just a solid majority, but also a rural majority against fox hunting. For whatever reason the government (and SF to be fair) just don’t seem to be interested.

I have no problem with people hunting when the outcome is food.

Hunting a fox for sport is totally unacceptable.

The only supporters it has are traitors who sell off the last remnants of our wildlife so the vile rich englishmen can come and live like they used to.

The type of cunts who would’ve sold out their people to Cromwell for his snippets of land.

Why do you need a poll, the majority have always opposed fox hunting. They were just never listened to.

I would ban fox hunting with dogs and horses. Its vicious and long past defending. But if a landowner wants to shoot a fox that is annoying them, then that’s fine by me..basically I’m against avoidable cruelty toward any species.

And besides, nothing is going to stop a land owner shooting pests. There’s no point in banning that. Foxes can be a terrible pest in the wrong place.

Hunting for sport with dogs is barbaric. I would personally be alright with regulated hunting for, say, fur, using less disgusting methods, but that is a highly subjective personal opinion as someone who considers it my responsibility to use every last bit of the animal I can if I have the audacity to kill it.

This dog horse nonsense is a barbaric practice pioneering by and still undertaken by a colonialist foreign aristocracy. It should be banned.
