Fewer than 100 pieces of communication on the issue, many from the same people, but because they can threaten legal action backed by a billionaire with a complex they can bully a women’s organisation into doing something that organisation doesn’t want to do.

Absolutely none of this is about advancing the rights of women, it’s all about harming trans people.

      >the organisation had taken the decision with the “utmost regret and sadness”, adding it had “no choice” but to exclude trans women from its membership.

You do have a choice, you could chose to relinquish your status as a single sex organisation.

See also: Girl Guiding UK. I can see a pattern forming.

They do have a choice. Stand up and be counted.

It’s possible you will get sued by a JK Rowling backed complainant but unless organisations start taking a stand, we as a society are kowtowing to the loonie fringe that JK and TERFs represent.

And organisations don’t really come more sympathetic than the WI.

Can you imagine the imagery it would bring up if the TERFs sue little old grannies who only want to do baking, charity work, and needlepoint?

They have the best chance of all to withstand this.

Note that the women running this had no issues with trans people and there doesn’t appear to be a single incident where there was an issue either

It’s under threat from lawsuits by Billionaire hate mongers which want trans people outside of society which this happened

It’s so annoying that the anti-trans side seems to have deep enough pockets to use money to force their views.
