      He got a measly 2 years. Seriously, WTF? What am I missing here? These vile perverts are getting off lightly for some inexplicable reason.

      We need sweeping legislation change or these disgusting animals will be encouraged.

      He’ll go to the pedophile prison now and network with the other sick animals under protection.

      They should have minimum 10 year sentences and no protection or segregation.

      It will depend in a variety of factors, of course, but the re-offending rate for those convicted of CSEM offenses only, with no additional concurring sex offenses, is very low. Around ~1% of subsequent convictions.
      Even lower again if offenders are older than 30 years of age. It’s slightly only higher if they have previous sexual offence convictions.

      So, despite the gravity of the crime (which I don’t think anyone will underplay), it is not one which requires hefty sentencing to prevent reoffending. Given the pressure the prison system is under it therefore doesn’t make judicial sense to dole out long custodial sentences.

      It’s bizarre how these paedos all seem to say the same or similar things when they’re in court … like how they did it because they were depressed. It shows you how inherently depraved they are that they think that is a reasonable explanation for being the worst kind of nonce.

      Most people eat too many takeaways, stay in bed for ages, maybe their hygiene takes a dip, etc, when they’re depressed. They don’t start riding kids or perpetuating child abuse.

      The state needs to start issuing indefinite sentences for this activity. Don’t talk to me about legal precedents this or that as to why sentences are so short or non existent. Just move whatever legal mountain needs to be moved, put them in a secure facility of some description and then throw away the key.

      Our Irish MEPs backed Chat Control (the provision to constantly intercept and analyse all digital content on your devices, ***eroding all your rights to digital privacy and dismantling encryptions — the foundation of digital security***) all in the name of “Protecting the Children”.

      I know many of you might think we avoided Chat Control recently, but on December 3rd, EU member states agreed a unified stance in the Council of the European Union.

      And when they actually catch one of the people they say they’re after, after eroding all your rights, with what I guess a peado would consider a fucking treasure trove worth of CSAM, the judge throws a pathetic sentence at them for some of the most heinous crimes.

      So there you go! Welcome to the Orwellian future state.
