Reciprocity by stationing military drones over russian civilian and military bases, seem like a non escalatory proportional response.

Who would’ve thought just declaring “no fly zone” without capacity to enforce it wouldn’t amount to anything. Ireland is not a real country.

    3. Doesnt a “no fly zone” mean that stuff will get shot down? Was it a “please dont fly zone”?

That’s genuinely worrying, even if it was just idiots with drones. You’d think for a presidential visit they’d at least have a temporary signal jammer ready. Do Irish airports normally use those?

How did Russia get a drone all the way to Ireland, van it have so much range? And no country noticed it before it came to Ireland? Something doesnt add up

    6. Military grade operations. The drones flew to Ukraines support vessel in the area afterwards. Who should have known about this, without intelligence ?

Russia is getting more bold on others territory.

Just a taste of what modern war against Russia or China would be like. Ukraine has no airpower worth fearing, Europe is not the same. Russia knows this. So Russia will focus on immediately rendering as many air bases unusable in the outbreak of war with NATO.

A dozen drones blowing up on the runway, sending shrapnel everywhere, is enough to force the base operators to do full debris checks and aircraft checks, delaying a response by hours.

welcome to 2025. in case any of ya’ll thought it would be easy. its not just “oh we will f35 on them until they explode in minutes yahh!”
