This is common practice in some countries in Asia as far as I can tell, but people get weird about it here.

The amount of people I see who don’t even carry tissues and just sneeze openly over others is a bit disgusting.

It should be law for any public facing role. If you’re sick, wear a mask. It’s not a big deal and makes so much difference. Anyone who complains is quite frankly selfish and pathetic for not being able to wear one.

British people are gross with their germs (or just love to share). If being considerate in such respects didn’t catch on during a pandemic that killed 250k people, then it won’t now.

I wore a mask to a carvery restaurant a couple of weeks ago because I didn’t want to spread my cold germs. Several people looked at me funny and one person said ‘what are you wearing that thing for?’.

So I fear that unfortunately some people won’t wear them for fear of ridicule or hostility from idiots

    Sounds reasonable and common sense.

A large proportion of the population still won’t do that though.

I woke up in the night feeling like crap. Feverish. Had the day off work and just laid in bed, congested, etc. Negative on Covid. I’ve had my flu jab. Feel a bit better now (thanks Sinu Tab) but yeah if I do go out at all I will be masking up. Someone gave it to me. I’d rather not give it to others.

My GP has cut the number of of appointments they offer because they are are having to frequently wipe down and sanitise their rooms. They seems kind of relived when I didn’t want in with a sputtery cough or full of cold.
