      Not a terrible group, that USA/Aus/Paraguay group would have been ideal

      A LOT better than France/Senegal/Norway though

      We fit the naming trend in the group as well

      The Mexico game in ’94 was a farce. 40+ degree heat and strange officiating preventing Ireland having a full 11 on the pitch. John Aldridge ready to murder that guy in the yellow hat.

      Have we ever played Korea before? We’ve only ever played south africa twice.

      Would’ve loved to play Brazil or Argentina, never played them in any previous WC’s.

      A lot of Football to be played before we can think about this of course.

      South Korea: 22nd
      South Africa: 61st 

      Still tricky but could be worse.

      3rd place is enough to qualify for some teams. 8/12 qualify for next round.

      If we win one game and draw one, should be enough.

      Our final group game would be Ireland vs Mexico in Mexico City. Imagine the craic.

      This is very doable.

      Delighted it wasn’t Group I which is the Group of Death. Imagine playing against France, Norway and Senegal and of course there’s Mbappe and Haaland.
