I swear to God if I get anything related to AI I will ignore the person who gave it to me for the rest of my life, in much the same way I’ve cut off people who were into crypto or NFTs.

I can’t tell you how useless it is or how much I despise it. It’s the peak of enshitifacation.

– Boomers who can’t tell the difference between what’s real and what’s not despite seemingly living every waking moment online

– companies who think they can just fire real humans despite AI adding only very little marginal productivity increases even in industries where you think it would take more donkey work out of (computer science, bookkeeping, data testing etc)

– the sheer amount of capital invested into what is an extremely poor product, particularly in a time of growing wealth inequality and rising costs. If it’s wrong the majority of the time for most users despite only carrying out what I’d call a sophisticated Google search, imagine how wrong it is in proper enterprise packages? Imagine just how shit it must be for a professor reading a paper from a first year filled with shite that one of these LLMs dreamed up?

Fuck it all. If you come to me with anything AI I’ll flip the lid.
