Ed Miliband attacca l’“ignorante” SNP per aver bloccato l’energia nucleare

Scotland isn’t ignorant to the fact it doesn’t need nuclear to meet its energy needs, It needs energy storage to store its surplus wind power which otherwise gets stopped due to excess demand or gets sent south to prop up the English grid.

Scotland doesn’t need Nuclear, Scotland needs independent control of its own grid.

What a muppet

We already have a surplus of supply in Scotland with insufficient transmission to transport it to the demand centres in the south. Bills are rising to 2030 to cover new transmission to carry more of this energy from Scotland southwards. The last thing we need to do is pile more generation into Scotland.
