      Because Norwegians are always told to be satisfied because “someone has it worse”.

      Norwegians live good lives, don’t get me wrong, but we always answer that we are happy because we get peltered with “think about the children in africa” any time we complain growing up.

      That’s why Norway blows it’s neighbors out of the water when it comes to mental problems but at the same time beat them in “happiness ratings”.

      At the bottom of the tweet it says source : multiple studies combined and no link to the studies so its very likely to be misleading or just wrong statistics.

      As much as i love a self glaze this one is not it.

      I’m guessing it is a result of woman liberation. In Norway there is more focus on woman pleasure than many other countries because woman know they can demand it.
      Just my theory at least

      Most likely because Norway is a highly egalitarian society which makes the women extremely liberated compared to the rest of the world, and this liberation does show up in a sexual sense especially, where the women are not shy in practising casual sex with a partner of their choosing. Go out drinking and it is 9 times out of 10 the women that are making the sexual advances as Norwegian men are notoriously shy in this regard.

      Too put it bluntly ….Norwegian women are rather “easy”.

      This list looks questionable. It seems like the data for each country is collected from different sources with different questions and methodology.

      The 91% for Norway and 83% for Portugal seems to [be from this scientific article](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29987546/) that looked at how sexual active men and women between the ages of 60-75 were in four European countries. They found that 91% of the Norwegian men, and 83% of the Portuguese men had had sex in the last year. It’s a far leap from that to sexual satisfaction for the whole population. I assume the rest of the list is equally questionable.

      Well, during winter depression (8 months a year) we need to stay warm. And our women are gorgeous!

      My best guess is that a better work-life balance and a more equal distribution of house chores between genders gives people more time and energy to fuck.

      In addition, Norway is a less religious, less sexist, less homophobic, and less transphobic society than most other countries, wich means people are more free to live the life that makes them happy without being shamed or persecuted for their sexuality.

      A third important aspect I noticed is that school children are repeatedly being thought the importance of consent and recieve a far better sexual education than in Eastern Europe (where the so called sex ed. was 45 min of telling 18 year old high schoolers that they are all gonna get HIV and Gonorrhea if they had sex, and that girls should stay virgin until marriage, despite some of them already having two kids).

      TL;DR
      A progressive society has better sex
