Unfortunately there is no alternative to X if comes to news about tech and politics. There is some noise sure, but most people that actually do something meaningful in AI and a lot of politicians are active on X and post regularly. Bluesky is for dummies so it’s not really an alternative and Reddit is Reddit, something completely different.
I don’t like being on X 80% of the time but the 20% when I read something good makes me coming back
