    >One of its demands is that other G7 countries beyond the EU issue a loan to Ukraine using the Russian frozen assets that they hold domestically.

    >Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever has insisted that greater participation by G7 allies will reduce the risk of Russia retaliating solely against Belgium.

    >However, the U.S. and Japan have refused to join Brussels’ scheme — leaving the EU to bear the brunt of Ukraine’s future financing needs alone.

    >During the meeting, the U.S. said it will cut support to Ukraine after disbursing the last installments of a G7-wide loan that was negotiated by the Biden administration in 2024, an EU diplomat said.

So Russian assets will remain frozen, I don’t think there will be any agreement to use them if even the European Union countries are divided about it.

It seems Japan is aligning itself more with Trump than with Europe.

Ffs EU, stop asking US or Asia on EU interest.for once, just do what actually suits us best. Everyone else thinks of themselves o ly, why should EU keep thinking about others every single time.

No fucking wonder we are getting dick every week.

Europe is alone in this. And when I say alone, 500 million people alone. We’ll be fine. Move forward and stop asking for permissions.

  5. Damn even the frozen assets wouldn’t buy Ukraine more than a year or two. I can’t believe Ukraine is fighting our war for us and we’d rather wait until it’s our lives that are on the line.

If the EU simply lets Ukraine fall you can bet your ass I won‘t lift s finger to defend it when the storm reaches my nation 💀

Probably time for Europe to aid Europe first, and put a hold on any and all aid that goes to other continents. Yeah, it’ll suck because I want to improve the world. Unfortunately, Russia and the US wants to ruin the world. We have to look after ourselves first as well, or all those development programs in Africa and Asia are gonna go away anyway. Probably for ever.
