Per me e per la First Lady Olena @ZelenskaUA, è stato un onore incontrare le famiglie dei militari irlandesi che hanno dato la vita per l’Ucraina, incontrarli, conoscerli e consegnare loro i premi dei loro figli – i soldati Graham Dale, Robert Deegan e Alex Ryzhuk – che sono stati insigniti postumo dell’Ordine “Per il coraggio”, III classe. Le mie più sentite condoglianze alle loro famiglie; il prezzo è immenso ed è un onore per l’Ucraina. Grazie per aver cresciuto persone che vivevano così lontano dall’Ucraina, ma che hanno dato la vita nella lotta per la sua libertà. Siamo molto orgogliosi di persone così forti. Sono veri eroi. E non solo per il nostro Paese

Gave their lives for what the believed in, the ultimate sacrifice. Brave men, glad they were honoured by the country they fought for.
When I look at Zelenskyy, I think about how on the first day of the war he refused a ride out of town while Russian assassins were stalking through Kyiv looking for him. And years now of bearing these kinds of burdens.
I’m sure he has faults – who doesn’t – but jeez is he some man.
Sorry for the losses of these families.
