Le libertà fondamentali della popolazione svizzera sono sempre più limitate: questa è la conclusione a cui giunge il Civicus Monitor (vedi sotto). La Svizzera viene quindi svalutata da «aperta» a «ristretta». Ciò colpisce tipicamente i paesi in cui la libertà di espressione, riunione e associazione è sempre più soggetta a restrizioni legali e pratiche che limitano la partecipazione politica. In questa categoria rientrano anche altri 41 paesi come Belgio, Spagna o Polonia.
Secondo Civicus, questa svalutazione intende riflettere le crescenti preoccupazioni circa le restrizioni alle libertà fondamentali. Il declassamento è dovuto in particolare a tre fattori: l’uso di gas lacrimogeni e proiettili di gomma nelle proteste pacifiche, la sorveglianza delle attiviste, degli attivisti e dei movimenti sociali, nonché i raid e le interferenze politiche contro i giornalisti.

Not giving them clicks, but anyway do they have any sources or simply “trust me bro” and “growing concerns” because some initially peaceful protests escalated?
However: having equal rights, freedom of speak, religion and opinion is something we must be careful to protect and not just give up like some countries.
