The world is healing
We should really stop focusing on regulating these anti-social American tech giants, and actually start building our own European social media.
The EC has been working with five countries — Denmark, France, Greece, Italy and Spain — on developing an age verification app.
The aim is to allow users to prove their age through [an official EU-wide app](https://digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu/en/policies/eu-age-verification) without giving sensitive information to social platforms, unlike Australia’s approach.
In Australia the ban relies on the tech companies doing the verification. It looks like the European plan may be more workable, At least the Australian experience will provide some real world data.
Other than giving a middle finger to Trump and Vance I don’t care about this.
Guys, you can’t cry about Trump and Vance making BS claims about freedoms, then try doing stuff like this.

How are we so stupid to advance our regolations only when others do it first ? We arent rarely the first ones but the second ones and then we overregulate it 🙁

Why they go with age verification apps instead of something more robust? Is there no better way?
