I’m just going stop working. I’m going to party all the time, I’m going to smoke weed or do any drugs I want in public and just get paid for that.

If they sack me I’ll just say no, if the garda try and arrest me I’ll just keep refusing. Seems easy for Burke. So why would anyone else do anything when you can just say no to fucking everything.

JFC, imagine if they ruled in Burke’s favour; seems incredibly unlikely mind you but presumably once his sacking is confirmed, that’s kinda it? The road would have finally run out?

The only thing we can be certain of is that Burke won’t accept the verdict. Got to keep his gravy train running!

The Neverending Story was only 100 minutes long.

Enoch can give them advice to drag it out for future sequels

If he is sacked I dearly hope he’s made to pay back all the salary he was paid while this ridiculous process played out.

It’s scary that after all the shit this man is done, there is always a possibility that because someone might have not followed the dismissal procedure correctly to the letter that he will be in some way exonerated.

I’m going to say the same thing I said last Christmas. Enoch deserves to spend Christmas with the worst of society, surrounded by hatred and anger.

With that in mind, it’s only fair he’s released for Christmas to spend it with his family and then promptly returned to prison until he can agree to stop attending a school he’s barred from.

I think they take away from all this is that there needs to be a law that makes it a specific criminal offence to interfere with the operation of a school*.

(* With the exception of legitimate industrial action of course)

I think it’s crazy that someone can disrupt education for so many children as well as adding a burden of time and cost onto the staff managing the school, and the only way to solve it is to force the school management to go to the bother of trying to get an injunction.

There should be a law that says if the school asks you to stay away then you have to otherwise you will get arrested and convincted of a criminal offence. There should be no defence of claiming that you have beef with the school or you’re in dispute with the school or anything like that.

I would fear that some people who share similar viewpoints to Enoch Berk might feel emboldened by how he’s managed to string it out for so long and think it’s okay for them to start similar shenanigans at schools that are doing things they don’t agree with.

I wonder how many other lunatic teachers are out there on “leave” because of their disgraceful behaviour. In the case of Burke a real man would have resigned his position but he thinks we should all change to fit his twisted ideas or suffer the Burke family consequences. It’s about time they were thrown in jail every time they misbehave. Keep doing it till they are ruined then we can package them up and send them to the nazi state of America

I feel like r/ireland should have some kind of annual awards so we could vote him Ireland’s most unpopular person.
