Russia using manipulation to try and take control over sovereign countries it thinks it can own? I am shocked!
Didnt know it was possible for Russia to boost disinformation anymore
Ban Russians from social media.
Russia only understands things through force. As long as no one confronts them, it’s pointless.
Mark Rutte and europe leaders talk talk talk but do nothing!
Lots of Russian bots all over the internet.
Same situation in Lithuania with current issues.
At that point Russian meddling in elections is as surprising as a bear shitting in the woods.
Just remember kids, when someone tries to punt russias point to you, you tell em to fuck off.
If Milanović was Russian puppet, he wouldn’t get almost 50% of votes in first round, and almost 75% of votrs in second round.
Croats aren’t pro-Russian people.
Russia will never fuck off from Europe, will they? This obsession needs to be studied.
But it is the free Elon speech !
Zoki is doing his best to be a fool again
Croat here and not surprised unfortunately. Alternative option was bad, so Milanović got elected, but his pro russian statements were there from day 1, so we knew what we are getting into. He later blocked cooperation in nato missions, fortunately could not block aid to UA and while most of us don’t support administration of our PM, his international polytics is pro eu and that’s non-negotiable for anyone wanting to replace him in my opinion. Making matters worse, any populists that do pop up are usually anti-eu
I bet my ass this is based on some shady HDZ (croatian ruling pro corruption party) sponsored research, Milanovic won with 75% because HDZ is shit not because of some facebook bots.
In Croatia, there isn’t a single pro-russian political party nor politician. It would be weird if it were some because we were in exactly the same situation in the 90s. Also, Russian disinformation doesn’t do well in Croatia because 70-80% support Ukraine, rest doesn’t know.
Milanović was elected only because he didn’t have a real competitor, that’s it. I don’t support his talks about Ukraine, but agree we shouldn’t send our army to Ukraine.
>Politico. Tabloid shite. Do not believe this at all. They can’t even cite a source.
>Can we please ban Politico content?
>I wouldn’t treat politico as a serious source about what the EU plans. They are clearly partisan and don’t have any real new sources but are just rehashing old discussions.
>Politico is just straight up Russian propaganda
>Source: Politico.
>These guys should be treated like Sputnik at this point, given all the nonsense I’ve read from them lately
>Let’s start downvoting any Politico article. If the mods accept this shit, we as the user don’t need to.
>Politico is a Pro-Russian rag.
Some of the top upvoted comments the last time Politico was used as a source with an article people didn’t want to hear. Seeing this article is also from Politico I can only assume it’s fake pro-RU propaganda and in reality there was zero Russian backed bots pushing any political candidate online.
Or this sub is nothing but an echo chamber who only want to hear stuff that enforces their already cemented views of reality.
I actually do believe Russian bots tried to boost one candidate, i don’t view that as particularly different than our own European medias and online presence heavily posting content about one or the other candidate in US elections for example. It’s just a challenge of democracy in an online world. In the end it’s still humans voting and most election campaigns revolve around pushing grandiose promises of utopia anyway. It’s all misinformation and lies.
No need to go very far. See how many reddit accounts 1-2yo, mandatory hidden historic profile and dubious “opinions”.
I don’t interact or give a sh*t about this kind of profiles anymore. As we all should.
