As if anyone could trust Trump to actually follow through with any promise. His word has no value.

  4. TheFlameDragon- on

I doubt someone with a childs mentality can be trusted to keep his word.

Trump is in Putin’s pocket. Who gives a damn about what he says? His words are meaningless

Trump is owned by the Russians. America can’t be trusted anymore.

Can’t trust a wanna be authoritarian rapist traitor though.

Why would anyone trust anything with Trump’s signature at the bottom?

Trump can no longer be trusted, he’s made it obvious he’s a Russian asset

All irrelevant. Putin will decline the deal and trump will say Ukraine was unwilling to compromise/surrender.

1 – Trump does not understand or care about details or facts except those which he has personal interest in, for the most part he only cares if something he says can make headlines

2 – It does not matter to him (nor does he understand) if things he says are contradictary

3 – Early in his term the people “talking” to him wanted minerals/mining rights; perhaps Peter Thiel among others. Now Witkoff is involved, and Witkoff is into real estate. The mining people aren’t gone, but they are “out of sight, out of mind” in Trump world — for now.

4 – Congress, and most Americans, want to see a deal that Ukraine will accept and Russia can suck a fat one. Trump’s ego stands in the way unfortunately his ignorance on [everything] is even larger than his ego — and his ego is massive. For now, at least, we have to manipulate his ego in order to pursue the desired goals and, if possible, completely box-out the contrary voices. (or at least Congress votes to not support Russia even if “support” is a debatable word regarding Ukraine).

5 – There is a third “anti-” faction in addition to the mineral grabbers and the real estate moguls — there is a faction who believe the current relationship with Europe is deeply offensive, that Europe are parasites to be destroyed, and so on. Pete Hegseth is absolutely in this group, and for now JD Vance talks big-shit in this regard. Hegseth’s feelings are likely real, JD Vance is the little kid imitating big brother without knowing why. There could be four or five factions, but these are the three principle ones who seem to “take turns” living in his head. There is some overlap between these groups, and it is worth noting that some don’t care which country is in charge as long as they feel like the minerals and/or development rights are “easy” to turn into an oligargich effort.
