I had three taxi drivers behind me… nobody jumped to help me.
This is the reality and it shouldn’t be….
Great idea to have lady only cabs

Work for IrishRail. Few weeks ago a girl (early 20s) landed in off the last train, was hoping to get a bus out to college campus, no chance at that hour. Told her taxis were out outside, could tell she was NOT keen on the idea. Luckily my shift was almost over, and my daughter was picking me up, so she was happy to take an offered lift.Â
That lady’s service sounds like something that would have been a perfect fit for that girl that night!Â

It’s lady focused not lady only. It would be illegal to refuse a customer on the grounds of gender. It’s the same way its4women can’t refuse to insure men.
It would also be an interesting case if they refused to allow men to join their app. That might be illegal as well, but I’m less sure of that.
It’s interesting though that something that’s both a business and discriminatory is getting free publicity on rte.

I’ve just too many experiences where a driver has made me feel uncomfortable or unsafe (not always intentionally, but the point still stands). The majority are great, but it’s a bit of a lottery with who you’re getting. It has definitely held me back from drinking or staying out too late on more than one occasion, as it’s not always worth the additional feeling of vulnerability.
Best of luck to her!

was parked. He tried to get in, but luckily the door was locked. He tried to smash my window. He grabbed me by the neck and he hit me.

Sadly A female driver isn’t going to stop this.
