Nel 1922, in questo periodo, l’ultimo sultano ottomano, Mehmed VI, fuggì a Malta, allora sotto il controllo britannico, a bordo di una nave da guerra britannica. Dopo il crollo dell’impero, il nuovo governo vietò alla famiglia ottomana di vivere in Turchia e le autorità britanniche concessero loro asilo.

1565, the walls of Malta protected it’s defenders from the massive army of sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. 350 year later his descendant lands there, seeking protection.
Hopefully we will see the current sultan-wannabe run away like this, like a coward chicken shit that he is.
