      Should have been a job for the criminal assets bureau from day 1. If the legislation isn’t there then pass it, sick and tired of criminal religious organisations getting special treatment

      This was always the tactic lads.

      If they offered the money straight out it would’ve been taken. They said they would and delayed, so that the shock factor of the reports leaves people’s minds and the tied to the institute faithful will then come out of the woodwork to defend it when they wouldnt/couldn’t have 5 years ago.

      The church plays the game over decades and centuries, not years.

      Edit: how they weren’t stripped of their national school landownership and then GIVEN access to the children’s hospital after their crimes against children is beyond me, it’s like something Paisley would write to scaremonger the 6.

      There’s no simple solution, and most such plans would be unconstitutional. Add to that, FF arrived at a deal with multiple religious orders which can’t be simply ignored.

      No other organisation involved in such heinous crimes against women and babies could get away with this.

      Them bastards have to be dragged to court again. There needs to be a new statement from the government on these so-called religious institutions and CAB involvement.

      They are waiting till every last survivor is dead ffs.

      Its a telltale sign that this country is still ill and has not learned the lessons from the past.

      No justice, no punishment, not answersble to anyone, and deflecting blame means this shit can happen again, even under a different guise.

      Never mind claiming to ‘represent’ god, Dr?? Tony Fucking Holahan Played God with women’s lives and was answerable to nobody and deflected blame.

      Same shit, different untouchable institution.🤮
