Two recent judgments, Kelly vs Leonardo and Peggie vs NHS Fife should give the government some pause on what’s being proposed here. While both are only employment tribunal cases (therefore not binding), _Kelly_ says that it is not illegal for a company to have a trans inclusive policy, while _Peggie_ says that trans women can be entitled to women’s changing rooms unless complaints arise. It would be morally and legally wrong for the government to approve the guidance.

Bad news for business. I worked in a recently renovated hotel some years back. They put in shared toilets, not because they were woke but because its cheaper and saves space.

And they will enforce this how? It’s not like the EHRC is a police division.

“Equality boss” who is arguing that trans people shouldn’t be seen or treated as their gender…. Cool.

I’ve spent some time trying to figure out how trans-haters explain to *themselves* why they weren’t personally worried about trans bathroom use, say, ten years ago, before the current anti-trans panic started, and I think I’ve figured it out.

I think a lot them genuinely believe that trans people *weren’t* using the bathrooms that correspond to their gender identity until a few years ago, because the trans-haters think they “would’ve been able to tell” if they had been at the time.

So much of their weird beliefs about this issue seem to stem from the fact that they think they can “tell” who is trans and who is not, like their absolute confidence that they’re right when they call out any random woman they think might be trans for using the ‘wrong bathroom’. They are *absolutely certain* they can tell, even though they obviously can’t and there are loads of stories about them being wrong.
