hmm what are you doing Denmark? VW just decided to shut down Dresden factory and move production to USA. They need to rethink supporting VW.

I have a colleague here in Denmark who loves his Tesla. Best car ever and so on. I tell him what an insane prick Musk is he just brushes it off. Nah it’s just the media blowing things out of proportion, and he’s not responsible for what the US government does. All for a stupid car.

Volvos Dominating Scandinavia feels less like Car Sales and more like National identity on Wheels.

I’ll fix it for you: Best selling *heavily subsidized* car models in Denmark and Norway.

The main reason sales of Tesla is high in Norway is due to the interest free loans. It’s just a way better deal than you can get on any other brands.

Well done to the Norwegians who continue to buy good cars and don’t fall for propaganda.

Quite surprising giving their fatality/reliability rating are the worst in the market that in a country with a lot of snow/ice you’d choose increasing the likelihood of you dying considerably for the sake of a “deal” that’s likely not much better than what other manufacturers are offering on EV’s (should that be your preferred method)

  8. Sad to see how easily people are swayed by cheap loans. There was a time when buying a car from a N@zi was frowned upon.

  9. Norwegian here, most people are against musk and his dumb pedo friends. Simply out, we have insane Tesla Supercharger Infrastructure (albeit its open for every car). They have great financing and most people already had a earlier Tesla from 2019/2020 and wants to buy another due to already having one. This is because our VAT is being reimplemented on EV’s in 2026, watch the rates then.

    Norwegian here.
Tesla simply checked the most boxes: space, real-world range, efficiency, charging network, and total monthly cost. With 0% interest, it ended up cheaper per month than a lot of alternatives that look fine on paper but are worse in everyday use.

So, do I like Musk? No.
But in every company I’ve worked at, there’s always been at least one awful leader or loud idiot with strong opinions nobody agrees with. You still use the tools that make your own day-to-day easier. If you try to boycott every product tied to a bad CEO or a problematic country (Intel + Israel being an obvious example), you quickly end up avoiding half of modern tech.
And living in Norway, we already indirectly fund plenty of questionable actors through taxes and the sovereign wealth fund, so not exactly optional.

Buying a car isn’t a moral purity test, but it is a practical decision. And I’m pretty comfortable assuming that the vast majority of Tesla employees aren’t Nazis, so I’m not regretting my purchase because of one deluded shithead in a huge company.
