3.200 USD a month to go die in a field is so wild. That’s close to a typical minimum wage job in Denmark. The morons could have stopped fucking around and become part of the EU and make more working a regular boring ass cleaning or warehouse job in any EU country.
By comparison a Danish soldier is paid about 3.700 usd a month with no deployment. That’s the rate for sitting on base. (And is generally considered shit tier pay). Once they’re deployed they make significantly more. A Corporal makes about 7.800 usd a month during deployment

I mean, it’s not surprising some people are just bloodthirsty. I wouldn’t be surprised if some went for free. But, you know, a sane person would not go there, it is mostly these… potential future problems. They disappearing there would be beneficial for both Ukraine and for Serbia, I don’t really want these kind of people walking around freely, never know when they are gonna start shooting at random people.
Although I don’t understand the author of the text, what does she mean when they return? If they return, they are going to jail since serving on active battlefronts is punishable by Serbian law, which is the reason why most of these people that do go end up living in Russia because they are worried they might go to jail if they return to Serbia.
A funny thing from a year or two ago, some of the mercenaries and volunteers that went to Russia complained about poor food and said they were sometimes fed only bananas, you can interpret that however you want 🙂

Serbia has only 8 million people. It’s just a fifth of Ukraine, and just 5.5% of Russia’s population. If 10% of Serb young men sign to fight for Russia it just gives Russia enough soldiers for a couple of months battle
