Seems reasonable, as long as people are still free to protest. There’s no particular reason they should be allowed to use that phrase

Taken far too long for these clear calls for violence to be addressed. This chant, the khayber chants, the Arabic version of the river to the sea chant.

We’ve been calling this out for years. It shouldn’t take murders before people understand.

If I had to guess most people in these protests will chant anything they’re told to

Especially if it has an Islamic/Arabic sounding word in it

    They don’t even understand it

I’d guarantee that most of the people chanting “from the river to the sea” can’t name which river or which sea

And this is everything that Hamas, Iran, Russia and whatever other bad faith groups want.

Largely uneducated masses willing to follow whatever the propaganda tells them to

Do they realise infitada literally means Uprising/Rebellion. So ridiculous

Bad decision. While I understand the sensitivities around the attack, just because someone says it is a call for violence doesn’t mean it is.

All the terrorists chant “allah akbar” but this word has meanings for Muslims so will this be be banned too?

Where does this stop? We can’t say anything until some group thinks it’s Islamophobic or anti semitic?

Hopefully it will get changed in our courts.

About time. All of this should have been taken seriously years ago, not waved through with a shrug and a sigh.

Good to see the usual idiots finally feeling the hot breath of the law on the back of their necks once authorities are actually bothered to pay attention to this sort of behaviour.

    This reckoning is long overdue.

And no, draping yourself in a distant war is no longer a get-out-of-jail-free card for openly inciting hatred or violence against Jews in public. That little dodge has expired.

    It doesn’t wash anymore.

The UK is getting terrible with how much stuff we are banning and limiting

  8. Rude_Worldliness_423 on

There’s going to be a lot of idiots getting arrested then

    Waste of time and resources.

And I’ll say the same about arresting people for being cunts on Twitter too.

Put the resources into stopping actual criminals when they commit actual violent crimes and then throw the book at them.

Granma who thinks intifada chants are simply anti-zionists chants doesn’t need to be taking up space and time in an already overstretched court and prison system.

Cool, more restrictions on free speech and rights to protest.

Starmer can’t help but weaponise a tragedy to stomp on civil liberties.

It’s *something* at least. If it’s not clear to you what ‘globalise the intifada’ means, don’t worry, you saw it on Bondi Beach. It’s the same thing that happened during the [Second Palestinian Intifada](https://www.instagram.com/p/C8XxmdVtwck/) not just in Israel and Palestine but around the world. In France, Synagogues were firebombed, Jewish schools attacked, cemeteries desecrated, and Jews assaulted in the street. In Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK there were synagogue attacks, Molotov cocktails thrown at Jewish buildings, physical assaults, and a sharp rise in threats and vandalism.

But it doesn’t get at the root issue: we have imported highly radicalised Islamists into this country motivated by a desire to conquer Israel for [Dar al-Islam](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divisions_of_the_world_in_Islam#Dar_al-Islam), and we also have equally radicalised far-left extremists who endorse and promote ideologies with extremist ideas that ultimately want to destroy Britain and the West, and which legitimate violence against Jews and Israelis. Imams across this country [regularly preach violence against Jews](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/07/06/muslim-charity-boss-delivered-sermon-killing-jews-israel/) in their mosques, and the police and security services simply don’t care and [don’t do anything](https://www.jewishnews.co.uk/no-charges-for-london-imam-over-destroy-jewish-homes-sermon/).

The radicalisation pipelines for Muslims, the extreme left and extreme right have all been dialled up to 11 in recent years. All of which is made even worse by the role of foreign governments and their flows of cash into Britain’s universities and media to further the promotion of these ideologies, especially by Iran and Qatar.

If we aren’t actually beginning to think about a whole-of-society approach for how to deradicalise many Islamists and extreme far-leftists as well as the neo-Nazis, then their attacks on Jews will simply grow over time.

Waited too long for this to happen, allowed pure hatred and calls of violence towards Jews and Israelis for far too long.
