Our laws are hopelessly biased to protect the wealthy and their fraudulent activities. How we’re supposed to grow as a country when we exist merely as a tax payer money trough for corrupt pigs to stick their snouts in, rip us off and literally flaunt their ill gotten gains as yachts and houses while the courts say ‘well, we’re not allowed to take that’

They should have everything they own taken from them and then they should spend a year in prison for every million pounds that seizing their swag doesn’t cover.

Odd.. Why didn’t the department of health join the other creditors and oppose the wound up?

Even if they are insolvent, I don’t see how it’s beneficial for a creditor to wave it through.

If she can’t pay, Michelle Mone should be sent to prison. Incarcerated at His Majesty’s Pleasure.

To the surprise of fucking nobody.

Just arrest her ffs, why is this country so insistent on letting the rich get away with blatant corruption?

Poor people get overpaid through no fault of their own via universal credit mistake yet get punished and told to pay it back (when they can’t afford).

Rich people steal millions and get away with it .

    Doesn’t make sense

    Rules should be changed

Of you owe goverment its 1 year per 1 million in jail for individual or board members and if you liquidate then government and those you owe can claim it back from board or other company ies they are also boards of (either at time or in future until debt is paid)

It follows a High Court ruling in October, which found that the firm breached a contract to supply 25 million surgical gowns during the Covid pandemic.

PPE Medpro filed for administration in September, a day before the order to pay. HM Revenue & Customs is separately owed £39m in tax.

Records filed by PPE Medpro’s administrators have revealed it only had around £600,000 available to pay unsecured creditors.

Lock these pigs up. If I committed fraud on this level I would be looking at 10 – 15 years.

    Company owes millions.

    Liquidates and pays nothing.

    New company appears within weeks.

    Tale as old as time.

We need to follow that PPE money like it was drug trafficking. Who was paid what and when by what intermediary, it has effectively been stolen from the British Tax payer and laundered.

My bank gives the Spanish Inquisition over a friend paying back £150 quid FFS.

And right-wingers in another thread on this sub are asking how our prison system is collapsing.

Because you voted for 14 years of the Tories enabling people like Mone (who is far from the only one) to con taxpayers out of billions that could have been spent on things like keeping our prisons functional. And in the next election, some of you will vote for some of the *exact same Tory politicians who orchestrated these scams*, rebranded as Reform UK Ltd.

Hang on! The company was handed £148 million and it still went belly up?

What kind of incompetent yahoos were running it?

It’s worth remembering they were a £23M settlement offer which was rejected.

(Personally I think correctly rejected, but others may have a different opinion).

Can Toby Jones play her in an ITV drama so people in power actually do something about this? We really need her behind bars. And all the other shits that stole our money.

Take a snapshot of her bank balance and assets before COVID and take another after, demand the difference.

  14. I can’t believe there’s no criminal case against her for this.

  15. Flying_Wilson17 on

Everyone that interacts with her should just refuse service,
Make her life hard untill she pays.

Wants to buy a coffee – no sorry,
Pool cleaned – do it yourself,
    Car MOT – sorry, busy!

It’s not like the UK laws will help us, and she has ripped the tax payer off.

The need us more than they think.

  16. entropydave on

I feel a petition coming on. She definitely needs to be jailed and also have her peerage removed.

But remember, Mr Starmer wants us to stand up and fight for these rich cunts when Russia come knocking.

Awful grifters why they haven’t been imprisoned is beyond me.

  19. ash_ninetyone on

So basically she stole the money and has gotten away with it

  20. Bob_Leves on

Well what a surprise. Isn’t it amazing how such a clever business couple sitting on huge piles of cash couldn’t keep this one little company afloat. Absolutely no way it was a deliberate scam. No sir.

  21. Evening-Mess-3593 on

    The people: “jail her”

The aristocracy: “Mmm, don’t think so.”

  22. worn-out-boot on

Feel free to sell her house in the isle of man…don’t want that cunt living here anyway.
