Yes, people should just stick with the facts in stead of pushing science and history into a whole world of ‘it would be nice if it would have been like …’ and continue reasoning from there.

Cranometics works. It is not junk science but it imprecise. It is best applied between populations, not individuals groups and gets very dicey when dealing with mixed race. this could have been all avoided by publishing the original results with the degree of certainty.

So the BBC reported something based on available information at that time and now new elements are correcting the previous interpretation and somehow the BBC is responsible for that “mistake”?
It’s not the first time this happen in history. That headline from The Telegraph is a bit pathetic.

I can’t believe Britons pay for BBC. I’m glad the lies and fabrications are finally catching up with it.

If you head over to r/gratefuldoe, you will see that determining race from bones is, well, kinda hard, and in many cases they get it completely wrong. And that’s when it comes to bodies of people who died merely 30 years ago.

I feel like a lot of people see this as too political whereas is just scientifically discoveries.
I am curious to know about people with African ancestry living in the UK. It’s not to prove anything but to find out more about history. Also African history.
It’s intresting. I don’t understand why someone seeking that curiosity is seen as something negative or wanting to prove something? Of course generally speaking British people are white. I don’t think anyone is dismissing that.
