La prima volta che ho visto che il governo promuove attivamente le vendite immobiliari all’estero, non mi è piaciuto.
Ma vedere ora il Primo Ministro usare questa narrazione per cercare di calmare le preoccupazioni, è davvero preoccupante.
Qualcosa che non vedo, che quindi mi rende così apprensivo all’idea?
PS. Se dovessi leggere tra le righe, capirei che i maltesi non acquistano più proprietà a Malta e, per sostenere lo slancio esistente, sono necessari nuovi acquirenti.

You’re spot on. The construction industry is unsustainable and running on promise of sales. Low quality housing, Low wages, unsafe practices, and zero accountability. The construction industry is a get rich quick scheme for the few, promoted by the government.
Don’t forget that the Chinese are buying and renting places for the whole golden passport scheme. There are quite a few places in Malta, that are empty, but being rented out by Chinese nationals, in order to get a Maltese passport
