      Been a rough year for canals this is not a one off incident
      They do get overlooked, even though they were vital to the industrial revolution before trains and rail networks were even a thing

      Good nobody was hurt but thats going to be horrible if those are boats being actively lived in, as quite a few people still live on them all year round, this close to the holidays too

      Damn, how deep is the sinkhole that’s it’s drained all the water? And where does it go after that, does it dissipated into the surrounding soil?

      Interesting visual of how shallow the canal is at that point. Looks to be no more than waist deep?!

      What a mad picture. I thought the bank had been breached or something, but no that really is just a massive hole in the canal.
