Yes, I had this a couple of months ago when my travel insurance was up for renewal, I had to block their number in the end.
They’re a business that has really gone downhill in the last few years, I wouldn’t like to be relying on them in an emergency.

In the 2 weeks coming up to my car insurance renewal they called me over twenty times, leaving voice messages over and over, ended up moving away from them.
Yes, a couple of years ago. Harassment is the best way to describe it. I had arranged my payment about a month in advance because it was due the week of my wedding but they still kept calling. I didn’t renew with them the following year and literally if they were giving me my insurance for nothing I wouldn’t go back.

I emailed twice to decline renewal of my car insurance (policy more than doubled – wtf), got assured both times that it was cancelled, then out goes a first instalment of the renewal. Have been “assured” it will be refunded in a day or two, if not, someone will be getting a bollocking….
I had about 18 calls after getting a quote. I’d 5 calls back before I even deliberated it, after that, nope.
If I were you, answer it if you’re due a renewal. If you read the AA fine print they give like 2 weeks to cancel before they will automatically charge you their new quote. I got stung with this before. I now write in my diary 2.5 weeks before my my roadside assistance is due for renewal so it doesn’t happen.
