Very normal to have Pommes on pizza on every menu in Italy.
    Some add Würstel

I once had a Christmas dinner at work and the horrified face of my German colleagues when I ordered Pommes on pizza in the local Italian restaurant was priceless. Even more when they tried it on and of course it tasted good.

Wurst and fries is actually a very popular choice in Italy, mostly for kids / teenagers.

My best friend is from Italy.
She’s always pissed that we don’t have pizza Wurstel e patatine in germany

It seems german inspired. Not hard to see where the inspiration comes from. We love Wurst, we love Pommes. Doesn’t mean we need this pizza in germany, because we already have all these pommes / Wurst foods anyway. Makes sense to me!
