The song is Sillanpään marssilaulu, lyrics by F.E. Sillanpää. Based on the machine translation, I’m not sure which exact verses are used in your book, though.

There is a famous march song from Sillanpää that we sing in the army, simply called “Sillanpään marssilaulu” = Sillanpää’s march song. This has some same themes but the actual sentences are not quotes from it, even if mistakes are expected.
