Then you stop yapping about having to get the goddamn Greenland, will you?

  2. I think they want to do like they did with Louisiana and buy it. Invading greenland is just silly.

  3. >Well, I think our discussions should be with the actual people in Greenland — the Greenlanders

Yes, and they have made it pretty clear, they want nothing to do with the US

“President Donald Trump’s newly appointed envoy to Greenland said Tuesday that the Republican administration is looking to begin a conversation with residents of the semi-autonomous Danish territory about the best way forward for the strategically important island.

In his first extended comments since being appointed to the role this week, Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry said the Trump administration isn’t going to “go in there trying to conquer anybody” or try to “to take over anybody’s country.””

Flip flopping I see. They still truly want Greenland for themselves for a long time now.

It’s cute how Greenland’s fate seems tied, not to Ukraine’s fate, but to *how* Europe handles the Ukraine war.

Putin wants Ukraine. Europe sends weapons but no troops, and argues over even sending the weapons. Weakness

Trump wants tariffs. UvdL grovels to protect EU car companies, who really should be thrown under the bus. Again weakness

So now Trump figures he’ll take Greenland too, likely over rare earths. Don’t feed the bullies. Yet you’ve already done so.

To keep Greenland now, Europe must win the Ukraine war *in ways that scare America’s millitary.*

Among conventional options, America’s millitary only really fears asymmetric weapons systems combined with firm commitment. French aircraft carriers would be worthless against the US.

So what would this look like?

1: On-shore weapons component production, so again build factories for microchips, cameras, solar, batteries, motors, etc. Send drone parts, drones, troops, and air support to help Ukraine. Pay for this by stoping the stupid export subsidies like dairy, cars, etc.

2: Develop & deploy multiple new wepaons systems designed with four target categories: (a) Warships having auto-AA guns. (b) Submarines. (c) Support aircraft ala mid-air refuling, AWACS, etc. (d) Stealth aircraft, like the Su-57, Su-27s, Su-30, Su-33, Su-34, Su-35, Su-37, F-35, or F-22, like what launches Russia’s glide bombs. Also they should be designed for semi-asymmetric usage, not fancy top-down NATO style.

We want Ukranian & European ground forces to routinely shoot down sealth Su-??s from hidden positions, and from small sea baby drone boats. If you can build such gear, then the US would become your best friend again, because they do not want you selling that to South America.

In 1909, the United States claimed territorial rights to Greenland, but two courageous Danes returned the U.S. claim as a result of a dangerous investigation. [ Based on a true story]

Breaking news: Chairman Mao cosplayer declares Greenland safe from a US invasion.

The population of Greenland is only 56,000. I wonder if the people of Greenland would be willing to become part of America if it meant they were all given $100,000. This would only cost $5.6 billion, which isn’t much for the US.

The envoy might want to run that statement past the evil regime they work for first, because they seem to disagree.

  13. He has already put his foot in his mouth. He intends to invite the Greenlanders to a Cajun dinner.

Essentially, he is saying he doesn’t support the Greenlanders in maintaining their own culture and heritage. Instead, they should adopt US culture and traditions. That sentiment is not going to go over well in Greenland.

He should be persona non grata. Expel the US ambassador too, Denmark needs to make a forceful rebuke
